The report also reveals the Sovereign Grant rose to about $181 million (£132.1m) for 2025–26, with more than half directed to maintaining occupied royal residences and continuing the Buckingham Palace renovation. The Grant will increase to about $189 million (£137.9m) to complete works next year before declining to roughly $137 million (£99.9m) annually. Charles and Camilla will keep Buckingham as the ceremonial heart of the monarchy while living at Clarence House.

Broader royal activity

The year saw Charles and Camilla carry out 708 official engagements; together with other working royals they completed 2,273 engagements, and royal palaces hosted 827 events attended by nearly 97,000 guests. Separately, Prince William released the Duchy of Cornwall's report outlining a 10‑year plan with about $685 million (£500m) in investments and a pledge to reinvest roughly $2 million (£1.5m) tied to Dartmoor Prison into local communities.
