Baldwin has spoken publicly about diagnoses of dyslexia and ADHD in her 2025 book Manual Not Included, saying these conditions affect her speech, reading, focus, memory and confidence. She suggested those same processing differences helped fuel past controversy over her accent and background—she was born in Boston but faced social media scrutiny over her Spanish roots.
She also told Page Six Radio she lived with eating disorders for two decades, naming anorexia, bulimia, overeating and undereating. Baldwin said ADHD’s hyperfocus both complicated and motivated her recovery; she worked to heal before becoming a mother and now eats in ways her body can handle. For help, the Alliance for Eating Disorders offers a helpline at 1-866-662-1235.
